Academic Symposium 2016: Emergency Physician Educators & Scholars…the Path to Success!

The vision of the Academic Section is to promote high-quality emergency patient care by conducting world-leading education and research in emergency medicine. Through its three working groups focused on leadership/administration, education, and research, the Academic Section delivers the annual Academic Symposium.

This year, the Academic Symposium will be geared to those looking to take their education careers to the next level.

  • Are you a new or budding medical educator in emergency medicine?
  • Are you an experienced emergency medicine educator or scholar ready to mentor the next generation?

The Education Working Group has gathered experts from across Canada to present everything that you need to know to kick-start your career in medical education. Rob Woods, Jason Frank, and Teresa Chan are leading three panels, with topics including the training recommended for different careers paths in medical education, how to make a real impact on medical education, and the essentials to have scholarly work published in education.

The symposium is included with the Resident’s Program. Residents will have the opportunity to be seated with education leaders during the pre-symposium lunch and mingle at the reception.

Registration Fee: $35.00 in advance; $50.00 at the door
